Chemours Appoints Google VP to Board

Chemours, a global leader in performance chemistry, has appointed Joseph Kava to its board of directors, bringing three decades of experience from leading technology companies. Kava, who currently serves as the Vice President of Data Centers at Google, has overseen the sustainability and efficiency of Google's global fleet of data centers. Prior to his role at Google, Kava served as the Chief Operating Officer at RagingWire Enterprise Solutions and spent 17 years in the semiconductor industry.

Chemours expressed that Kava's expertise in technology, sustainability, innovation, operations, and new product introductions will be valuable as the company continues to advance its business strategy. This is particularly relevant as many of Chemours' products are critical to artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, notably in data center cooling.

Chemours, listed on the NYSE under the symbol CC, employs approximately 6,100 individuals across its 28 manufacturing sites and serves around 2,700 customers in approximately 110 countries. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 11.1% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $18.81. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
